midea air conditioner

Midea 5000 btu air conditioner. Like new blows ice cold air. About 1 year old. Air filter won’t go all the way into slot. Need to cut 1 inch off bottom of air filter to get it in there or take apart air conditioner front panel and fix blockage. Should be easy to take apart. I reduced the price 35 bucks because of the problem
