This is a Hardigg case of typical construction, with the addition of a heavy duty 19" electronic equipment rack mounted on rubber isolation bushings. 19" racks are used for many different things, but I think this case would be very well suited for amateur radio or sound equipment.
The rack could be easily removed, and the case would also work fine as a chest if turned on its side with the detachable panels on the top and bottom.
The overall condition is good. There are lots of scuffs and minor scratches, but no real damage. The seals are good. The latches are all present and working, but one of the bottom middle ones is missing the thumbscrew. It can be operated with a pair of pliers, but the case still seals up fine without it. Replacement latches are easy to find if you choose to fix it. The pressure relief valve seems to work fine. The plastic isn't faded, cracked, or brittle. I would guess it weighs around 60 lbs empty.
The external dimensions are 33" H x 27" W x 35" D.
General Sales Terms:
I only accept cash (US paper currency in reasonable denominations), presented in person at the time of sale. If you feel that my asking price is too high, there is no need to tell me. If it doesn’t sell after a while, I will either lower the price, list the item elsewhere, or donate it. I am not in a hurry to sell anything. I have had issues in the past where a buyer would agree upon a price and then offer less money upon meeting up. Please don’t do this. If you want to buy multiple items at the same time, I may be willing to negotiate before meeting up. I may or may not have change, so either have the exact amount or ask beforehand.
I do my best to provide representative pictures and an accurate description. After reading the description and examining the pictures, feel free to ask for clarification or further details. The information I provide is accurate to the best of my knowledge. My reputation and conscience are worth more to me than whatever I would make ripping people off. That being said, all sales are as-is and final. When applicable and practical, I will demonstrate the function of each item at the time of sale.
I live about 10 miles south of Alamogordo. My house is pretty far off the beaten path, so for smaller items I prefer to meet up somewhere nearby that is more easily accessible. I can also meet up in Alamogordo on some weekdays around either 8 or 3. If you will not be there at the agreed upon time, please be considerate and let me know as early as possible. I will do the same. Once we have a meeting planned I will not sell the item to anyone else.
Thanks,
Daniel
