The system was tested by using regular batteries, connected to a Century Link landline number and the phones worked fine, no problems.
Bought new these phones cost $229.95. Used on Ebay they are selling for $59.00 just for the based unit alone and only the one phone. Panasonic is one of the best phones for a landline.
